In 1955 I was working part time for the City of Trenton N.J. water department, and the city offered free replacement of lead intake water pipes with copper pipes. Many took us up but some did not, and they had to pay dearly later. I had taken Latin in Jr High and High school and got into Roman history. It was there I connected the dots as the Romans drank out of lead vessels and ate with lead plates. They were killing themselves slowly
