Allison's sister Lindsay drove over here to Coronado , where our time share is, and we had dinner with her...that was good as we are just feeling so empty... She received so many cards and packages and they are all on her couch table waiting to be opened, hoping she will be up for it as I think the encouraging words will lift her spirits.. Seeing her so thin and frail was what we had feared would be the case as she has hardly eaten any food for a month now due to the fistula and how it results in constant diahrea . She is drinking her smoothies with protein powder and putting electrolite powder in gatorade....There is no amount of tequila or wine to heal the true sadness we feel right now... Please keep praying, she has a treatment to try to reduce the swelling in her brain this coming week...wish I could talk to her drs. but with the damn Hippa crap they won't talk to me.. plus , Allie would not want me to interfere and we don't want that... she is still in control of communicating with her Drs. , I'll keep you posted... WE CAN'T LOSE HER !!!!, Sorry for going on like this...seeing her was more of a shock than we expected, Patti had wanted to fly over for a few days and she kept telling me she was" fine"...I think she wanted to spare the reality of what is now happening... prayers...prayers !!!! LOTS OF PRAYERS , if we ever needed a miracle, she needs one NOW !!! if you communicate with her, please don't mention the observations i've shared in this e mail...when we left her place last evening, she said to Patti "Mom, don't worry, i'm not dying, I just have to get through this " and that is how positive and determined she has been throughout these past 3 &1/2 years...all of us around her need to remain positive and lift her up as best we can !!! if you have any questions, please direct them to me.. Yesterday was a tiny bit better and several MD appointments this week. She says she does not have the Brain MRI results of las week. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
