duffel that was stolen in Qatar on the Africa hunt.
Anyway this is the Sierra bullet that I killed my Cape Buffalo with. Started out at 300 grains and ended up at 288 grains. Great bullet.

buff bullet over on the handgun hunt website so the young guys can see that the Sierra is a good bullet and that placement is paramount.... have to say that this safari was "top`s" all the way around....

cool-- shot them some in my .45 colt and .454

but don't tell anyone. if they ask where the shot placement was show them this one.. bottom bullet broke the shoulder, top bullet blew up both lings. Both with a pissant 300 grain 45 caliber JSP out of a 454.

I’ve ever recovered. It passed thru about 48” of big hog, and was recovered about 8” into the soft ground. It remained reloadable and retained 280+ grains of weight. Great bullets

Could be why they discontinued them, or on

The other hand Sierra recommended them to be run at 1600fps,,,, and not everyone wants to do that in the 454. The 454 does recoil pretty good with them. As of 2 years ago Sierra was down to 25 boxes of them. Doubt they have any now. Those bullets are tough and it takes quite a bit of velocity for them to expand correct. Not sure just what animals they had in mind when they designed it.
