Reeder Custom Guns - another one we have been asked to refurbish

And this one will be a real challenge. It was in a fire but we hope it is worth refurbishing.

I know absolutely nothing about it ... but wouldn’t the fire effect the steel ? Would it still be safe to shoot ?

but the wood grips were not completely burned off so I would figure that it did not get hot enough to hurt the metal. The springs, yes. But the frame, no.

I had a friend who lost his guns in a house fire. It was so hot it completely melted the aluminum grip frames off his Ruger sixguns. That was hot enough to weaken the frames and cylinders.

was badly damaged in the fire. If the wood grips are scorched but not burned up then more than likely the gun can be salvaged.
