Reeder Custom Guns - Scrounging a box to mail it to GNR

I need him to scratch “Avenger” or “Colt Avenger” atop the barrel. Any ideas on any other little historical additions? I hope to have the barrel and cylinder shiny black chromex.

I’m not in any hurry as usual. We’ll do something cool.

I’m still on the fence about the Merrill single shot. It’s more of a target gun than hunter. Nobody wants to give me fair money for it so I might still do a hunter conversion. I have not bought the Marlin base yet or I probably would have sent it.

Kind of a transition from the Cap & Ball era and later Store keepr modifications. This interesting fellow made a name for himself and was said to favor Colt's so modified. The "style" of modification became associated with him, the "Destroying Angel" or "Avenging Angel". Basically a hit man, bodyguard, for the early Mormon Church.

My last name is Boggs also and some family was from Stoddard, MO I'm told.
