He was in retirement but such a nice man. He had nice blue eyes and when he shook my hand very firmly only the top of my thumb could be seen! How he shot that dainty M19 I'll never know. His hands were like a baseball glove. He told me about a couple hunting stories he remembered in low country, in big timber, squirrels and quail down in Louisiana.

I wish I had just closed shop and went and sat close to him.

that his large hands don't quite even cover the bottom of the grips. I imagine all his revolver grips were custom made.

Herrett's grips on them. They had the real fine checkering and the shape just fit the hand perfectly.
