FINE WITH STANDARD BULLETS AND STANDARD LOADS. A few years back I gave my grandson an early, pristine light weight Ruger Model 77 chambered in .308 and fitted with a 4X scope. Friends told him rifle and the scope were too small.
I'll bet you have no trouble figuring out what I told him to tell them.
