Reeder Custom Guns - a little questionnaire here. Now that CZ owns Colt

and with CZ's reputation for fine guns, what Colt gun would you like to see brought back in perfect condition? This includes semi autos or revolvers. What gun do you miss from Colt?
I will give it a start. I would like to see the original Colt ACE or the Officer's Model Match in 22 brought back. Now your turn.

I went into a gun store near downtown Prague that carried strictly CAS stuff. (Went to the main CZ store there too, but sadly did not make it to Brno.)

sealed with duct tape and hot glue gun where I nearly needed to use a power saw to open them. No idea why in the middle of typing a post that it suddenly posts to the board in the middle of things, am using a phone and absolutely no send buttons visible at all to accidentally touch.

Not that I necessarily want it back, but CZ buying Colt after getting screwed over by late-'90s Colt management is something akin to poetic justice.

at one of the local ranges in Orlando and invited the dealers from the shops in the area to attend and try out a lot of the new guns. Colt was there with their Z40. Colleen, Kase and I tried several of them and none would function reliably. we tried different ammo and everything the Colt rep could think of and nothing worked.

I wonder if Colt management stuck its finger in and meddled with CZ's Z40 design in the same way that they screwed up Reed Knight's original design with the All-American 2000. Colt insisted that the Z40 be DAO; I understand that CZ tried to recoup its losses later by building the CZ-40B on the same general parameters but in DA/SA.

I have shot neither one, so to say more would be me talking out of my ass. But suffice to say that based on their output over the last 30 years, I trust Brno over Hartford. I think the acquisition is a good thing. I have never had a CZ that wasn't good to go out of the box.

I have a CZ 97B and love it. It is way over-engineered for .45 ACP, though.

I have no idea what the current status of the Dornaus & Dixon "Bren Ten" IP is. Frankly, I would be happy with a 10mm 97B.
