I wonder if Colt management stuck its finger in and meddled with CZ's Z40 design in the same way that they screwed up Reed Knight's original design with the All-American 2000. Colt insisted that the Z40 be DAO; I understand that CZ tried to recoup its losses later by building the CZ-40B on the same general parameters but in DA/SA.

I have shot neither one, so to say more would be me talking out of my ass. But suffice to say that based on their output over the last 30 years, I trust Brno over Hartford. I think the acquisition is a good thing. I have never had a CZ that wasn't good to go out of the box.
