I was doing good for a while....

My local "dealer" and I share a love for old guns, the history, engineering, hearkening back to a time of innovation and American greatness. In a time of difficult to get late model guns we both are delighting in old guns that only others like ourselves find great joy in.

He came into an estate collection and some old Remington's and Savages. I got to the party late and many are picked over he still had a few Model 8's with Ideal peeps on them. A .25 caught my eye (where on earth would a normal guy find ammo?!). An entire rack of M11 shotguns, several U.S. marked! Alas I'm TRYING To rid myself of long arms. He also had TWO of the most pristine Savage 1917 .380's I've ever seen at a good price.

There is also the old Colt Official Police .22 still there, I can't believe no one snapped it up. I may have to make a run at it.
