I was in a car wreck a couple of weeks ago. I am healing with the aid of my wife and parents at their home just down the rode from my place. I am blessed to be well taken care of. I have a broken hip repair , both hands broken and 2 broken bones in my back. The back sounds bad but where it is broken will cause no other damage than pain. I am wheelchair bound another 12 weeks before I can put weight on the foot

I give thanks to The Old Master once again for his grace. In the hospital My eyes would open each day and I would see my loving wife smiling at me even though she was not supposed to stay. She stayed 9 days. I don’t do well without her so and asked Him to intercede and he did. Our happy place is a little fishing dock on my parents pond. From my rented hospital bed moved into their sore bedroom I can see that spot from the window. Working hard to be able to get there on my own. It may take a few months but there will be a fish fry the day I make it all the way. I’m cooking whatever bites!
My great nephew, the 4 year old pig killin machine brings me suckers to enjoy after I take my pills because medicine tastes bad. I’ve seen many loved ones and friends cry and pray for me. My daddy had to clean his baby’s but after a 45 year layoff and heard my mother shout with joy when my medical transport delivered me to her home. My sweet sister is the loyal friend always and her husband and their family as well as aunts and cousins are taking orders for what I want for dinner each day as well as other needs getting met. In emergency the state trooper came in and was asking some questions and such and I remember my handgun that was in the truck. I can’t Cary at work and I was headed there so I had a flattop stainless 44sp in the seats only. I asked him to secure it so I kid didn’t dig it out in the junkyard. He said that it was already done so. And we chit chatted about it a moment. He was nice and calming as I had no family there and payed on my back just looking up. I was just about to tell him to keep that pistol when he said. “I don’t get those old school guns at all. And who are the guys still buying .22s? That is just dumb!” Glad I didn’t give my baby to him!
It hasn’t been all roses a puppy cats though. The enemy is busy but I’ll just say that God has made a way through each blockade. All this week home health and rehab services have been a particularly difficult need not getting sorted out. Every day we prayed about it and every day I worried over it. After arriving here on Wednesday I wanted it sorted out before the weekend! Yesterday I was still a mess about it and a cousin and his boy stopped by. I didn’t have time for visitors. I needed to be on the phone, but I leaned back and enjoyed their visit so much. As they stood up and said their goodbyes my pop said, y’all make room for this little lady. In walker an angel carrying a folder. She said “ hi I’m Lucie! I’ll be your home health nurse. Rehab will be here Monday and you will love him he is great! I don’t know what has been going on. I have had your case since Tuesday waiting on you to get home and things got weird a couple of times but I’m here now! We are going to get you fixed up!” Dee and I cried like babies. She lives near by and we are already friends with her sister!
This is difficult with 2 broke hands so I’m done! I lost my phone so those of you I text wth. I reach out later.
Brant. Thankful and blessed

The new hip, just a week old. And a blotched knee replacement 2 years ago on the same leg. I feel your pain. Having PT 3 times a week and a visiting nurse once a week. I hope I can make 8 weeks of this. (The walker has to go). Also you can’t ask for a better group of guys and gals (MISFITS) to be praying for you. Good luck and hopefully a fast recovery. Pete

Glad you have a great support group
