good friend Al Diprima stopped by th shop yesterday on his

way to the Shootist's Holiday at Raton. Al has been a good friend for years since the early days of the old Celebrity Handgun Hunt at the Y.O. Ranch in Texas, which unfortunately is now history. I went every year for 15 years but toward the end way too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Over the last 5 or 6 years I was helping out head honcho Taz Ridley by doing the inviting and invited a lot of the regulars on here. It was a good thing for charity to help out folks at Christmas with food and such, but unfortunately, like many other good things, is gone by the wayside.

Anyway Al was on his way to the Shootist's Holiday, another good idea that was the brain child of John Taffin. I went for a couple of years and met some really great folks. Most recently just couldn't take the time off during the middle of the week. But it is a great idea and hopefully it will be around a long time.
