the way a lion hunt should be, pure stalking. Find lion tracks in an area where there are a lot of lions, pick the tracks of a big male and start the stalk. A lion hunt has been on my bucket list for years so now is the time. I had thought of either a big bear hunt in Alaska or an African lion hunt. The lion hunt won.

This is not set in stone yet. I have a couple of small health issues that I need to get taken care of. So good Lord willing, September is the month. We'll see. I still have a couple of guns to build, ammo to test, go to customs for the paperwork, see if Delta is back flying and book the flight, stay the hell away from Qatar, get my South African Police paperwork done, send some $$ to John at Madubula Safaris, replace all my hunting gear that was stolen in Qatar 2 months ago, send some more $$ to John, get my guns registered in South Africa, do all the normal stuff that we normally take a year to do in 2 months. Plus a lot more small things. So I am looking forward to it.
