A quick rundown;

Monday we met at 8:30 and opened with a prayer of thanks that we can get together. After announcements the range was opened up but most of us just visited. After meeting and talking with some folk I had not seen in 15 years I walked the firing line and met many more. I fired two shots that day and only because an old friend wanted me to shoot his gun.

Monday night some of us had supper together and then we sat and talked till late.

Tuesday was more visiting and shooting. Bob Baker brought a bunch of Freedom Arms guns and had them out for anyone to shoot who wanted to. Henry Arms brought a bunch of rifles for folks to shoot also.

In the afternoon my daughter and I shot up a couple hundred rounds shooting golf balls. As far as I am concerned the only reason for golf balls to exist is as targets. They are great!

Bobby Tyler had one of those 9mm Gatling Guns and let folks run it some. It shoots up thousands of dollars of 9mm very rapidly.

Tuesday evening the Lady Shootists hosted a potluck. There was more good food in one place than I have seen in a long time. After the meal Mike Ballew and some of the Staff spoke to us about Adventure Camp. The Shootists sponsor kids to Adventure Camp here at the Whittington Center every year. It was great to hear the reports.

There was more visiting in various places Tuesday night.

Today (Wednesday) I got out the .44 Special and worked on some 300 yard targets with it. My load is the Keith 250 gr. SWC over 16.5 gr. 2400. It was a lot of fun as that is one of my favorite shooting exercises ... whacking rocks at long range. Anymore I don't get to do a lot of that.

I was tired so after lunch I took a nice long nap. It has been a good day. Tomorrow we will have a Memorial Service for Shootists who have crossed over the Great Divide. In the evening will be a banquet and raffle. The raffle is massive with quite a few handguns and rifles, books, ammo and lots of other stuff.

It's always over far too quickly.
