.451" AND .454" ROUND BALLS USING GOEX FFFg, PYRODEX,AND TRIPLE-SEVEN. FOR NOW THEY BOTH LOCK UP LIKE A FREEDOM ARMS WITH NO ENDSHAKE OR SIDE-TO-SIDE CYLINDER MOVEMENT. BOTH VERY NICELY POLISHED.

with the ball sizes and guns. When my folks got me a kit in the 1970's for Christmas they unknowingly got me too small .440" RB! I actually shot a cylinder full! LOL They went downrange with lots of smoke, flame, and fanfare from my folks!

I read long ago that Val Forgett had the Italians make up some 1858's. The replicas differed just a bit to specs., on some level. You'd think an original could easily be copied but even they were contract guns? Manufacturing methods of old don't always translate into what we can practically manage today. Hence the minor differences, I figure.
