It’s been two months trying. I’m living in two places and after work didn’t have any reliable communication here. Finally I have something to work with.
I think the danger level is subsided some too. I’m only packing one sidearm casually and keep a shotgun here in the house. Crazy world out there. When I lock the gate the world needs to stay out!

to a kid, the black and white The Last Man On Earth with Vincent Price. Never read the I Am Legend book on which it based, I know the author was not happy, but again, it was really scary. So, no idea, either, how well Heston's or even Will Smith's version stacked up.

I have no access to cable internet/television nor phone line. I have to hot spot through my phone with no to poor at best wireless connectivity during daytime hours. I hear satellite is just as poor with reception.

presence. I do not like it as it slows when everyone gets on it, like getting home from work etc. Read the fine print "speeds UP TO..." they are not promising anything but a cap on top. They are streaming TV and such. But it works if that's the only game in town. I COULD have gotten them or a company called Viasat, but they had DSL available. Usually reliable but also not near as fast as fiber. Mine runs on phone wires and runs some 6,000 ft. from the main pedestal. My download speed is adequate (11 mega-bits-per-second) but I'm not really happy. I've been waiting on engineering to figure a way to get it done. They had all the available phone pairs used up. A cluster up!
I still have to walk 50 yds. up the hill to the shop to call out. But at least I can pull up Reeder Forum. One of the main motivating things is the ability to install security cameras so I can check on the property remotely and be notified of any intruders on my cell phone immediately. Here at work I'm an hour away. But they only have like 4 deputies for that county at any given shift. I guess they could do a report or something.
