This morning it took me just a little over two hours to get everything set up and fire 36 rounds through my 1851 Navy .36 5-1/2". It is right on for elevation and shootS a little bit to the right. It is a joy to shoot! 25 grains oF FFFg or Pyrodex or Triple-Seven all measured by volume are right at 950-1000 fps. I have a good supply of different percussion caps and the Remington #10 work just fine on the Slix Shot stainless steel nipples I installed before I ever tried to shoot it. I spent an hour preliminary cleaning it taking everything apart soaking the small parts. I need lunch and a nap for I go any further. Next step is the 1861 Navy 5-1/2" and then the 1860 Army 5-1/2" .44 and the 5-1/2" stainless Remington .44 and the............ it will be a long enjoyable summer.

That's very motivating. I plan to do some over the 4th long

weekend. We plan on retiring to camp Wooster for some fun and trying to stay clear of crowds. Too many crazy people out there. I want my family close and off the roads. At least till the dust settles. I always have an uneasy feeling on the weekend of the 4th of July. Drunks to terrorists, I get to be a nervous nelly. Shooting a C&B off the back deck with a cool glass of tea handy sounds like a plan to me. Then go inside and soak it while we watch old westerns in the air cond.

*On the Grit TV channel, I get for free on the antenna, I saw "Tales of Wells Fargo" for the first time. I really liked it and hope to see more of the series.

Sounds like a good plan WB! Really like the Grit channel

a weekend. I and all my guys will be here on Monday. That is what is wrong with this country (part of what is wrong), everybody wants every possible holiday plus a couple of days before and after it off. If people want off those days they shouldn't get paid for it. Everybody wants money for nothing......(and the chicks are free).

FORGET ONE DAY "JUNTEENTH" WE

So when it falls on a normal weekend where most utility employees are off anyway we get the next work day as a paid Holliday. We run 24/7/365 so guys working on the “day” we get off are paid double time! I used to really rack up and get gun money this way!

Now I’m salary and take the day to go work my butt off mowing, bush hogging, or pulling up cat and dog piss encrusted carpet like I did this past weekend. If pulling carpet, pads, tack strips (nailed to concrete no less) is this hard I sure don’t care to lay it! Hats off to Larry Farley, wherever you are...

I SAW ALL OF THE TALES OF WELLS FARGO
