I remember a story I read about a PH who was believed to be
the only man to kill TWO lions with a knife.
The first one was wounded by a client and it jumped on him in the bush. He pulled his knife and killed it, although he sustained some life long damage.
Years later he was on horseback at night when a juvenile jumped on the horse, maybe not realizing he was there. He knifed it to death as well.

and used a rifle of large caliber. This poor old Tennessee honkey is using a single shot handgun. There is a small difference. And if that lion decides to come at me after a bad shot, I am sure the juices will be flowing.....right down my leg.
