I think Patti Lindsay, and I are totally numb.. we are going through the motions of caring for Allison along with her fabulous nurses, but, it is truly an out of body experience.. when I actually look at her or hold her hand and realize I/we only have hours or days left, I simply cannot face that reality..last night we moved from the 3rd floor (post op) to the 4th floor where the Hospice is located.. this is one of the few hospitals that has Hospice in it’s facility.. and we are still able to be in her room 24/7 and sleep in here near her ..it is an out of body experience to hold her hand and talk to her and realize she will be passing on in hours/ days.. we don’t know, I do know we will be donating her heart as it is still so strong.. and full of love, that was our Allie and still is !!Sue and Don Powell flew in today to say their good byes to Allie and she actually opened her eyes when I told her they were here...Lindsay has even fabulous while just as heart broken as are Patti and I...they were such best friends and constantly in each other’s lives.. Lindsay is devastated but has shouldered on here taking care of some the the “power of attorney” duties... we are just totally heartbroken while trying to be strong for Allie, her friends continue to leave emotional voice mails that Lindsay plays for her and we play her favorite Eddie Vedder cd every day, please pray for her continued peace and no more pain,
