ALLISON E. HERF 1/15/77 to 7/5/2021
Allison , our warrior is the bravest, strongest person I know. She won every battle over the fight with cancer with intense pain over the past 3 1/2 years but today lost the war.She took hours over the years through 14 surgeries, chemo, radiation and MD appointments getting ready for MD's and tests. She would say I do not want to look on the outside like I feel on the inside.
Always doing things for others with planning for showers , bay parties, her mother's 50th and 60th surprise parties and in her pain for ur 50yj Anniversary in October of 2020-the last time she ate a meal out ! Her smile was ever present and never a complaint about pain or misery. When qyestiioned her response was "it is what it is". Her heart and soul was in all family events.
Courage and determination. When told she was too small[5 ft] to be a lifeguard and would have to bring a 225 lb man from the bottom of the pool. The 100lb Allison jumped in the pool and up came the man in her arms. Ms. Arizona Equestrian of 2005 looked tiny on the horse.
Patti, Lindsay and I were fortunate to be with her through the ordeal. Many CA and AZ friends visited her this past week as did her dog Vedder who we snuck into the hospital. She will be terribly missed by those fortunate enough to have known her. She has donated her eyes so someone can see the world as vividly and positively as she did. She is finally pain free.
Patti and Charlie
