I know you guys are into Al's stuff and have a question. Who made the original holsters for him? The reason is I just came across one marked with the proper Goerg shoulder harness and the goerg washington markings on the holster. But the kicker is its made for a T&C even has Thompson center marked on the holster. I know the story on Al and he died in 65 if I remember right but the contender didn't start until 68. Did his family keep the holster business going or was there someone else making these? It definitely isn't a new holster so I think it's legit. Before anyone asks its not for sale I tried but the guy that has it is keeping it and a early octagon barrel 22 hornet contender that fits it for his grandkid so I think it's in good hands.

Al made a lot ofhis own holsters but as demand grew for them

he had a company in Washington do them for him. I have no idea who it was and I don't think Al ever mentioned it. My guess would be someone sent a TC holster back to the original holster maker and had them modify it to Al's specs. That is just a guess. That would be over 50 years ago so there is no way of knowing.

The holster includes a double magazine carrier for a 22 auto.
