I have my reasons and am not trying to convince anyone they are correct or for them.

I have lived for more than 50 years, trusting Jesus with my life ... for my life. We lived in Africa with diseases much worse than Covid and trusted Him to take care of us. My wife died trusting Him. I reckon I will die trusting Him.

That does not mean that it is wrong to go to a doctor or to take things for our health.

We each choose our path. I have chosen a path to walk. I do not intend it to be a challenge to others or to make anyone feel it is a path they should take.

It's never been my pleasure to make your acquaintance yet (JimT knows me), but I don't think you're as old as my father-in-law and mother-in-law. He was 80 when he caught the current plandemic bug and she was a couple years younger. He came through just fine in a couple weeks, she took a couple weeks longer. They both should be dead by now, by the "information" put out by the folks in charge of scaring folks into compliance. Age, weight and many other factors pushed them into the "high risk, will definitely kick the bucket" bracket. They didn't kick the bucket. And they're doing well a year later, except for other, unrelated, issues.

I refuse to tell folks to get the shot or abstain, but at present have no plan to bow to the terror campaign and get the shot. Keep yourself in good shape, make sure you're getting plenty of zinc and vitamins D and C and if you DO come down with symptoms DO NOT "cowboy up". This bug isn't something to play around with, it's a matter of taking care of yourself IMMEDIATELY if symptoms start up. Let it get a head start and it'll clean your plow or worse.

And being in the hospital was a risky thing.

The idea of my body going nuts with spike protein is not anything I'm interested in. I seldom do something just because someone tells me to. Even someone supposed to be knowledgeable. There are good Dr.s and bad, like in everything else. Thank God it is a personal decision YOU need to make for yourself! As we speak our basic freedoms are in peril. A Government attempting to force a foreign substance into your body against your will, for the greater good. Or you cannot buy, sell, travel, get medical needs... I've read that someplace. The harder they push the more concerned I become, and skeptical.

Your immune system is kicked in the ass as it is. Surely they are considering that advising you. Mine is too, fighting things including asthma. But I'm 15+ yrs. younger and have different things to consider. I'll pray God directs you to the right decision according to His will, for YOU.

Even though the vaccine was expedited and didn't go through years of clinical trial it works. I known people who have had the virus (before having a vaccine) and for some it was no worse than a bad cold. Others were hospitalized, one person I know was on a ventilator for three weeks and hosptalied for two months before going home to die from further complications. My opinion is not taking it is kind of like playing Russian Roulette to see if you come down with a mild or severe case. If it wasn't effective do you think all the medical researchers, scientists and doctors would be taking it? There are a few fringe doctors who are antivaccine and think we should let nature take it's course to attain herd immunity and that's all well and fine for them but not me or the others who may die from it. Now that's not to say there may not be long term complications from the vaccine but at 72 there really ain't no long term for me beyond tomorrow and I want as many tomorrows as I can get. Unfortunately there is a small percentage of people who cannot take the vaccine.

My wife and I have. I have now lost three friends (who weren't vaccinated) to Covid.

Get the mRNA shot from Pfizer or Moderna. We had no side effects and we're in our very late 60's. I don't know anyone who suffered any serious side effects from the mRNA shot. It;s a different technology than the others who are using technology from the last hundred years. Be advised these are extremely effective in the lower respiratory system. Your lungs need the protection to keep you on the hit parade so that's where the vaccine works the best. However, they do very little to nothing for your nose and throat. You may still contract the disease in your upper respiratory tract, and as such, be able to shed it to others (which is not good for the unvaccinated), but if you get symptoms the data shows they are mild. If you get the mRNA shot, a booster may not be needed; of course the jury is out on that. Until the world is vaccinated, dangerous mutations will continue. That is targeted for 2024 at the current pace. So between now and then, if your not vaccinated, and you contract the disease, and it gets in your lungs you're on a bad track, especially you have any underlying health issues. I completely understand the hesitancy many have, however, when doctors are getting vaccinated, that's a good sign about safety and efficacy.

My mother in law is 71, my wife and I are 46 and 48, and our son is 12.

Vaccine is not a true vaccine. Does not introduce dead virus cells to trigger your bodies own immune system to produce natural antibodies. Instead it modifies your DNA (MRNA), something that has never been done before and side effects of are completely unknown.

Have had 5 close friends with Covid, Three had only mild symptoms lasting 1-2 days. The other 2 had a rough time, very ill with symptoms lasting 2-3 weeks. They both are Diabetic and pretty over weight. All five are in there mid to late 70"s on up to 83 years old.

Also had 8 family members that had it. All got it from family contact except 2. All survive with mild to moderate symptoms. only 3 of the eight had other co-morbidities.

In both of the above examples none had the vaccine as it was not in use yet.

I have continued my life as normal only masking when I absolutely have to. Have been tested 4 times, once for the virus itself and 3 times for antibodies, all have comeback negative. I will be tested again in a week or two when I donate blood.

I am not anti vaccine and not trying to sway anyone else. I grew up in a time before vaccines were widely in use. Had the Mumps and Measles. Later on in the mid 60's we were all required to be vaccinated to continue in school. By this time the vaccines had had many years of research and a long track record of safety.

I do believe the very best vaccine is ones own immune system, so everyone take care of yourselves in every way possible.

in a heartbeat. I am foregoing this one due to aborted fetal cell lines used in production and/or testing, and it seems my choices are a new leg grown from an innocent executed prisoner or a new leg only tested on an innocent executed prisoner.

These are my personal reasons for passing on it, and I have no desire or need to press these on others, who are free to see this ticklish moral situation as their own conscience guides them.

What I do NOT understand is how we have yet to have a standard real vaccine when China now has two, and India has one, and them only months behind the faster to produce mRNA version. Granted, they "only" appear as effective as any other standard vaccine, but that has always been good enough before. Am also starting to wonder if a real vaccine might be more real protection for those on whom it is effective in the first place.

OUR AGES SEEM THE BEST CHOICE. SHE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR FOUR DAYS IN DECEMBER WITH COVID AND PNEUMONIA SO WE WENT FOR THE DOUBLE SHOTS. NO NEGATIVE AFTER EFFECTS EXCEPT A ALMOST INSATIABLE CRAVING FOR PIZZA--OH BUTI HAD THAT BEFORE.

My wife is a pharmacist, and both my aunt and my uncle are retired pathologist from Roche, so I have more real knowlegable available that understand the vaccines than most. The vaccines are your best bet unless you are under 50 in perfect health, and no pre-existing conditions.

I was vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine with no issues, as was my wife, aunt, uncle and mom.

I also get my tetanous shot regularly, got my shingles shots after I had a mild bout of shingles…regularly get a flu shot…and brush my teeth with flouride toothpaste.

Sometimes using the best available prevention is wise.

My two daughters (30 & 27) have had the vaccine. My mother (87) has had it. My sister and her husband haven't and will not. My mother's best friend had the vaccine and 4 weeks later was dead from covid she did not have at the time she took the vaccine.

My wife survived stage 3 cancer 4 years ago. She has spent countless hours researching the various vaccines possible side effects, problems etc. because ALL of her Dr.'s are pushing her hard to take it as she is in the very high risk group.

She has told me she will never take it. I too, will never take it.

Had too many vaccinated people coming to visit her parents saying “ it’s no problem, I’m fully vaccinated”. Fully vaccinated people are the new super spreaders, they show no symptoms, when they have the virus.
The family doctor recommended no vaccine for her parents due to multiple health issues. All of us got the first shot thinking it should protect her parents somewhat from the super spreaders. My wife and her mother were both sick for 2 days after getting the first dose.
We would not have gotten the first dose if her parents were not at risk. It is a personal choice that everyone has to make for themselves.

My wife works in a high risk area, so she got it. I put it off even though my Pulmonologist and Rheumatologist recommended it. Not until my Pediatrician recommended it. I had vid in December, though the acute symptoms were mild, I have ongoing effects.
