these things to "Armi San Marco" - A.S.M. in Italy. The quality is better than some I have seen. The brass solid frame is untaxed by the available 20 gr. capacity under the little 45 gr. lead ball and 5-shot cylinder. Maybe 600 fps or about .25 ACP performance, but the lead ball certainly would rival the 50 gr. full patch .251 bullet, it's a .32 cal.
I need a little 1849 to go with it now. I know where an original is with literally perfect bore and nipples, good plus stagecoach scene and finish. I can get it for $700 so far, (he has it priced for $800). Fly in the ointment is the timing is a smidge off and the hammer screw is stuck and boogered. I could fix it but for $700 I'm not sure. Had I gotten him to $600 I'd be working on it now. We'll see.
