Life is short. Shorter for some than others. Make the most of every day boys. It's all we got.
I applaud you Misfits going to Africa! Take the chances while you can. One day we will wake up and find we can't do it anymore.
that is exactly why I want to do this Jim. A couple of

years ago I knew I had a couple of health problems that would probably stop me from doing what I wanted to do a few years down the road. So I decided to empty my bucket list now while I could. That was when I went on my first Cape Buffalo hunt in 2018. Then Colleen did her Cape Buffalo hunt in 2019. Covid stopped things in 2020 but this year, 2021, I went back to Africa and took a larger Cape Buffalo and now, good Lord willing I will go back to Africa with 4 good friends this September for an African lion.
What all this leads up to is what Jim said. If you want to do something and can afford it, do it now while you can still do it. Don't put it off. I am sure Dusty Hill of ZZ Top had some plans for this fall but never expected to not be around to do them.
Don't put off whatever you have always wanted to do saying you will do it tomorrow or next week. None of us are promised tomorrow. None of us are promised this afternoon or tonight. You only have one life to live. Don't waste it planning on tomorrow.
I agree!

3 Amigos Hunt. John Taffin, Jim Taylor and me. And maybe a few good friends along too. I am afraid I have waited too long for this to come about, but it is still in my mind and I think about it quite often. I tell you Misfits not to put things off, to do it while you can and I am a good example of what not to do. When John, Jim and I got together in 2014 I started thinking about this seriously but never took it any farther.

Now it appears I have dawdled too long. Don't dawdle. If you really want to do something, do it now while you can.
TIME IS OH SO SHORT! I HAVE WAITED TOO

but I really can't complain. Like you said, I have been blessed to do so many things thru the years. Plus all the friends in the Misfits over the last couple dozen years. A man couldn't ask for more.

when they were first starting out. I think they had one record out called Tush which was doing fairly well. At the radio station across from Ft. Campbell we worked a lot of rock concerts back then, mostly in Clarksville Tennessee but some were in Hopkinsville Kentucky. The radio station sat across from Ft. Campbell and straddled the state lines. Front door was in Kentucky, back door was in Tennessee. Anyway if memory serves they were at this concert and that is where I met them. They were unknowns at that time so I am not sure.
Somewhere along the line I met back up with Frank Beard of ZZ Top.
Frank, the drummer, has been a good friend for several years. We built 9 guns for him thru the years.

His name is on one side of the barrel and the ZZ Top logo on the other side of the barrel. We built 3 of the 7 1/2", 3 of the 4 5/8" barreled guns and 3 of the snubbie Gambler guns. For some reason I only have pictures of these 2 guns. We probably lost the pics of the other guns when we were hacked several years ago.
