30-30 GNR Family in an 1894
These 30-30 related cartridges look like a HUGE improvement, they look like they are mostly intended for the T/C world. Do you recommend any of them for the Winchester 1894/ Marlin/ Henry?
all of our 30-30 based cartridges will work fine in
the Win. 94, Marlin 336 or the Henry. They are all low to medium pressure cartridges and were all developed in the Contender/G-2 so if a Contender can handle them with no locking bolt the rifles can surely do so. Some of them were developed strictly for the old Contender, like the 7 GNR, 30 GNR, 256 Falcon, 300 GNR and a couple more. All these are medium pressure cartridges and would work fine in a rifle. In fact all the 30-30 based cartridges would be fine in a rifle.

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate it. You talked about pressure, can you still get this performance in OAL that will cycle in a lever rifle?
The 30-30 based cartridges are not loaded extra long… they
Are standard length rounds (ie:factory length 30-30) that will run in all the lever guns.

I own 7 GNR, 30 GNR and 355 GNR
I use 7X 30 to fireform7GNR. Use 30-30 to fireform 30 GNR and 355 GNR. I know 30-30 is 308 and 355 is 358, but it works, not accurate, but blows out to perfect case.
in this last year or so the 355 GNR has become
one of our most popular cartridges. With a rimmed case and velocities of 2225 for a 180 grain, 2200 for a 200 grain and 2000 for a 225 grain bullet, all out of a 13" handgun barrel we are beating the velocities of a 35 Remington in a rifle. For deer and black bear size critters the 355 GNR is pretty much the perfect round.

one is non fire formed and the last one is fireformed.
