into an "as new" S&W model 657, full underlug and with a 7 1/2" barrel. I hadn't seen one with that barrel length before and it was a 41 Magnum so I jumped on it. Got more in it than I normally would but why not. When I saw it was a 657 in as new condition my first thought was to rechamber it to the 41 GNR, but after seeing it has a 7 1/2" barrel on it I will hold off, at least for a while. At least until I find out more about it. I took it home but will post a pic tomorrow.

sounds rare!

Gary, those show up on Gunbroker sometimes.
I really wanted one, but could never afford the asking price.
If you decide to sell it I would be interested in it.
It sure would look sharp with some engraving.
