we would buy estates and if there was a junk gun in there I would take the firing pin out of it and give it to Kase who was 6 or 7 at that time. His toy box was full of real guns. If the neighbors knew that Kase would never have any friends over. When he was 10 or 11 he started working on 1911s and by 13 or 14 was repairing and building them. As far as I know he hasn't shot anyone yet, although when he was living at the house on the way to work the blue haired old ladies driving their Subaru Outbacks and the Priuses going 20 MPH under the speed limit would bring thoughts of pulling the trigger on a regular basis.

These days it is even worse as more and more California old ladies have moved out to the area where we live and quite often there will be 6 or 7 cars behind them all going 20 mph under the speed limit and they are just like sheep. They don't try to pass them. They just waddle along doing 30 to 35 mph in a 55. And me being 6 r 7 cars behind the old broads there is nothing I can do but drive along and say scream things about them out the window. I think I have worn out the horn on my Expedition.
