I bought a 26.5mm Polish Flaregun

it is very well made and neat. I have not shot it yet. In a flaregun the ammunition casing takes the brunt of the pressure, not the gun. That's why the can make them flimsy. You are not supposed to be able to insert a 12 ga. round into a unmodified 12 ga. flare pistol. To my knowledge anyway. The 26.5mm 12 ga. flare adapter will not accept a normal 12 bore round.

I had a mind to look into reloading 26.5mm flares and getting some adapters. They have them in .45/.410, .38 Special, .22 LR, and 12 ga. flare. Also they make reloadable cases special for #209 shotgun primers.
