Brought back some memories.

My Dad joined the Army just after Pearl Harbor. Following Basic Training he was sent to Maryland and while there met Col. Wesson. Col. Wesson helped him get into the MP's and he served the rest of war guarding German prisoners. He was always very grateful for Col. Wesson's help and when Seth Wesson was running Wesson Arms in the '90's Dad gave them the idea for the Taylor Throat. They did a lot testing with it that showed improvement in accuracy and they included it in their accuracy package.

They invited Dad to the NRA Show the year it was held in Tennessee. At that meeting the presented him with a .445 SuperMag on which the Serial Number is his name and the date of presentation.

The gun had 2 barrels .. a long one and short one with a built-in muzzle brake.

Dad used the gun hunting and really treasured it.

After Alzheimer's got him I gave the gun to his grandson who has the same birthday as Dad's. He is a real gun guy and I have no worries it will stay in the family.
