but I agree a .41 in a M97 would be an ideal platform. While Bob has a guy make him some fancy aluminum scope mounts for the 97 I took a M83 Burris steel base and milled it to fit the M97 mortise, using only 2 of the 3 mounting holes. Bob caught the custom mount and asked "where'd you get that?!", lol That two screw base locked into that recess was more than enough.
