How feasible would it be to scrounge a sound
All original but reblued Bisley SAA in a lesser cal., say .32 WCF, for $1500 to begin. Then find a good .44 cal. SAA barrel and have the gun rechambered to say .44 Spec. and professionally refinished correctly. I think a fellow could end up with a very sound shooter for less than what he could find elsewhere.
I know some guys that have done such things. Even selling the original parts to offset costs. But the old guys don’t speak details too much.
