My fun with selling on GB is about to slow down.

I've used them since they first came online. But of late with increasing seller fees and sales tax (on something taxed multiple times) it's not as cost efficient. There fees are getting over 5% and state tax is 10%, shipping and time dealing with it all. I find I can wholesale guns to a local dealer and we both come out about as well for all the trouble and fees. The nature of their variable commission structure caught up with them like Ebay, hence the state tax fees.

I'm really strong on Gunsinternational as they charge a flat $15 listing fee with no time limitations, no tax, and a flat selling price. Sort of like before GunsAmerica before they got all the pop-ups and greedy fees too. Of course this all still requires a licensed FFL for any actual transfer sales.

I'm still grateful we have internet places to "look" at stuff for research, unique items from all over, and getting big ideas. I buy some stuff online and have it sent to my local dealer who collects fees and gets me in his store to ogle and buy residuals. He's not out any overhead, I usually end up finding something he's got new there, and we all do well.
