I had Gary do a nearly identical gun, minus the liposuction to hips and aluminum gripframe, 10-15yrs ago on an old Vaquero, and it was a slick brick. The smaller frame new Vaquero, even if left all steel, will be a far better packer, and likely a lightweight wonder if an aluminum gripframe done on it as well.

Last I heard, new Vaquero production was on hold due to production concentrated on more modern guns in high demand, not helping prices. But online sold prices have also slipped recently down close to "only" MSRP of late. Was looking into this recently while deciding on a Colt SAA or Ruger for a blaster. Anyhow, if you have some local, you are fortunate indeed. No such gun around here.
