Reeder Custom Guns - with all the talk about Federal's "new" flat nose

22 ammo, our Flattop Tool that we designed almost 7 years ago has been selling like crazy. The 10 we had in stock sold immediately so my guys built another 10. I now have 4 of that 10 left.

This tool takes a standard round nose 22 LR and converts t to a flat nose cartridge giving it the power of a 22 Magnum. In the picture below the small hole is a standard 22 LR round nose bullet. The large hole is a cartridge out of the same box after being run thru the Flattop Tool. It now has the power of a 22 Magnum.

The Flattop Tool does 3 rounds at a time. You put the 3 rounds into the tool

Close it and turn it over. There is around .040 sticking out of the top of the tool. You take a box cutter or a knife and slice the tip of the nose off flat. That does it. Now the cartridge has the power of a 22 Magnum. And with the severe shortage of 22 Magnum ammo these days this tool really comes in handy. Of the 10 we had earlier this week I still have 4 left. I killed a nice size Javelina with one some years ago. They would come in the yard .. fight with the dogs and eat the dog food. I got tired of the noise about 1AM one night and got up with my old single shot .22 rifle. Had a flat nose standard velocity .22 in it. Went out and shot into the bunch and they ran off. I went back to bed and in the morning found one laying dead in the yard. So we ate it. I recovered the bullet and think I still have it. If I can find it I will post a picture of it.

Found it .. along with one of the originals I had cut off.

The bullet had gone in the left side of the chest, through the heart and stopped in the hide on the off side.

If you can see it, both the bullet and the loaded round are a bit 'corroded' ... the shooting took place 35 or 36 years ago!
