the PHs call it the Golden Wildebeest. It may well be a hybrid wildebeest. All I have seen have been in the Kalahari Desert and are the color of the sand, a reddish gold color. My PH said none had been taken with a handgun so being all my guns had been stolen in Qatar, I borrowed a custom G-2 pistol from Eric Stenberg in 338 GNR and was lucky enough to get within shooting range (well over 100 yards) of the herd bull and got him down with one shot. A second shot kept him down.
