Cataract surgery with lens replacement. I have better distance vision as well. I have had success with two options. First I have progressive lenses for intermediate and close vision. I can find the sweet spot for the sights on the progressive lens by tilting my head. The other thing I tried was going to my optician's shop, (the guy who grinds lenses and makes glasses). He held diffent strength lenses in front of my dominant eye while I sighted down my pistol at a targer out beh I nd his shop until we found the one that worked best. Then he made a pair of glasses with that prescription ground in the top 1/3 of the lens for my dominant eye. The other lens was my normal daily prescription. Just tilt my head down slightly an see the sights well.

About 5 or 6 years ago my eye doc told me the reason I couldn't get a good correction in my right eye was because I had a cateract in the middle of my right eye.
He recommended a new lense in that eye.
The eye surgeon that I went to gave me two choices. A lense that would give me near OR far vision. Or, for 50% more, I could get a lense that would give me both near AND far vision.
I opted for the better lense and I walked out of his office after the 10 minute surgery with 20/20 vision both near and far....

I had been very near sighted since grade school. Over the course of 18 months I lost most of the vision in my right eye due to a cataract. I had lazer surgery to correct an astigmatism then rolled into the next room for the lens replacement. In 48 hours I was 20/20 distance reading with glasses. Best medical decision I have made.
I have had a multi focal lens put in my right eye

It works great I have 20/20 in that eye my cataracts is not bad in my left but I am going to get it done anyway the lens is out of pocket $1765 and well worth it. insurance covers the cat surgery. Go for it and pick a great Dr. I had one of the best but he is in Va.
