at least I would hope so. Here is a lion taken by one of the Misfits a few years back with a 378 GNR. This is a full grown lion taken by Dan Hertzog..



My first 3 or 4 safaris in Africa were in a vehicle like that. I like that one more than the new Toyotas. The old ones just seem more like a real African hunting vehicle.

To ride around in one of the original Land Cruisers with the windshield lying flat and the door off is, to me, more of an African hunting experience. The new Land cruisers are more comfortable and probably more reliable but too modern and too comfy.

These days when we get to camp each PH has his own Land Cruiser and they are all alike. But I shouldn't complain. I have been blessed way beyond what I deserve in 15 hunts to Africa. And good Lord willing number 16 coming up in a month.
