THE EVERLY'S WERE INCREDIBLY TALENTED
THE STONES PUT OUT SOME PRETTY GOOD STUFF BUT C'MON

the Everlys were pop. The Stones were pure and simple rock

& roll. I played both thru the years, a couple of radio stations that were classic rock and the Everlys fit right in along with Chuck Berry, some doo wop music, Linda Ronstadt, the Shirells, the Crystals, Freddie Cannon, Bobby Rydell, Paul Anka, Gary U.S. Bonds, Bobby Darin, Brenda Lee, Franki Valli and the Four Seasons, and a lot more early 60s music. I also worked at rock & roll stations where I played Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, the Stones etc at 6 AM. For 17 of the 22 years I was in radio my show was to wake folks up and it worked. So I can appreciate both styles of music. Neither is better than the other, just different.

Totally agree the Stones were not in the same league

a single Stones LP or single. There was some rock into the 70s I very much liked, but the Stones were not one of them.

thank the Lord the rest of the world doesn't share

GNR "go after" someone on here except for that guy that used to try to start political arguments. And he deserved it. Get a life man and quit your whining.
