Can't tell you if $1200 is a good price or not without more info. Five years ago I would have said "too high" but they have been going up precipitously. I got a mint 4-5/8" .41 Mag for around $900 and a less than mint 3-1/2" .45 Colt for $400-something back in '17. I'd easily add $200-ish to those prices now.
