And it looks like the folks that typed up the ads weren't gun people. In the Colt Special pearl handle revolver ad they said the right handle had an ox head engraved on it. I don't know if I ever saw one with an ox head on it.

never heard of the steer head grips called ox head grips. Sounds almost moronic.
