I sent my Magnum Research 50 AE back to have a 500 JRH cylinder fitted. Also I finished loading and test firing 475 Linebaugh. Starline cases, CCI LPM primers, H-110 powder, and Cast performance 410gr. WFNGC. 1425 fps with 7.5" barrel.

these are for Alcorn's feral cat hunt coming up in 2 weeks.

It came even to me in the first 15-seconds I examined my first .500 S&W. The original revolver is such a clownish, but cool, device for about a grand. But unless you are a dyed in the wool handgun hunter its utility is lost quickly. A .500 in a normal size chassis makes instant sense. But I guess that fellow who marketed it first gets to crow the remainder of his life. Kudos to him.

Didn't Corbon or somebody come out with a .500 Special at one time?
