I guess I may have sounded like I dread this lion

hunt. That is not the case at all. I am looking very much toward this hunt. A good African lion has been on my bucket list forever. Any apprehension I might have is due to not being able to use the bullets I had planned on using for the last 3 months. The 220 grain Hornadys are very accurate and I am confident that if I do my part they will kill that lion.

Also I am a bit spooked after having my guns, ammo, clothes etc stolen in Qatar 5 months ago. Even with all that the hunt turned out perfect with a great Cape Buffalo taken with a borrowed 454 Casull and a Golden Wildebeest being taken with a borrowed 338 GNR. But still that worry hangs over my head and will take a trouble free hunt to get rid of it.

Other than that I am very much looking forward to this hunt as are (I am sure) Erik Stenberg, Nick Stenberg, Michael Mendes, and Blake Naugle.

I remember reading about a hunt that started off a bit

wonky and the gun writer called it a "silly safari". It was years ago and I don't remember the story but things kept going wrong like the hunt was jinxed.

Yeah I remember reading that story too.

Don't remember who the writer was but I remember the story. I think my last safari in April could easily have been listed as a Silly Safari. Other than a few small glitches this one looks like it will be a good one.
