Reeder Custom Guns - BFR revolver DMax

Anyone know anything about the real early BFR revolvers? I found a short cylinder BFR 454 it's marked Magnum Research but isn't like the normal ones. It's got the colt style cross pin smokeless base pin setup and has a firing pin bushing from the front like a shotgun. Other than those things really looks like a heavy (flattop) frame super blackhawk.Looking some online there's some talk about these being not as good as the newer models but I don't think that's really true this one seems to be built heavy and is fitted great.From what I can find a company named DMax in South Dakota made these around 1999-2001. Can these hold up to full bore 454 casull? Are Ruger parts compatible?Any info on these would be greatly appreciated.

New market .454 guns. This was 2007-2010. He said they early on discovered some engineering challenges in working with the .454 that he figured these new applications (BFR,Taurus,Ruger) we’re going to have to learn about. Of them all I’d figure the big SA would be the most resilient. Plus you are never going to shoot it to a failure point like Bob Baker frets about.
