I am back to playing with the .22 Long Rifle reloading! This morning I loaded 40 rounds ... 20 with Shawn's 38 gr. HP and 20 with his 40 gr. FN. All are loaded with 2.0 gr. Bullseye.
I have not gone this heavy of a powder charge so I will see if it's too much and if they are accurate.

It may be a few days until I get to the range but I am getting ready!
These little things are a pain to load! Flaring the case mouth (you don't want to "Neck Expand" .. just bell mouth the case) is touchy ... adding the powder I have to wear magnifying glasses ... seating ain't too bad but crimping into the heel sometimes pushes the bullet forward almost out of the case.
The crimping tool is touchy. You can wrinkle the case so it does not want to go into the chamber. I made a tool from an old .22 rifle barrel so that I can try each round and see if it will chamber or if I have to resize it so it will chamber. That helps a lot.
Interesting stuff but slow and awkward at times.
