Massachusetts is one of the worst states to do business in. There are so many hidden taxes that it isn't funny. Plus the tax rates for businesses are much higher in Massachusetts.

Then you have the anti gun "woke" politics that are rising up in the political arena. Some of the really far left are trying and gaining political power. There is a proposal by one antigun politician to outlaw the manufacture of AR style firearms in this state.

Just north of Springfield are the towns of Amherst and Northampton. They are part of the five college area and a huge bastion of the far left.

I am surprised that SW did not move out earlier. I suspect Savage Arms will be next as well as Troy Industries.
