Time on the Range this Morning

Went to the Range early this AM to test the .22 Handloads.

I first fired the 38 gr. cast hollow points.
Some targets I got looser on than others ..

These loads are much closer to the sights than factory high velocity .22 Long Rifles. I fired 5 into a target and then fired 5 Magnums into the same target. The Magnums hit a bit higher than my handloads.

Then I shot the 40 gr. cast Flat Nose.

These I really felt good about!

I shot 3 targets with these loads and they all hit the same POA but on some targets the nut holding the grip got loose and pulled a shot or two out. I think the 40 gr. bullet is the most accurate.

I had one Failure To Fire out of the 20 that I loaded.

Not sure why it did not go off. I snapped it twice, rotating it to a different spot on the rim. I reckon the priming charge failed.

All in all, this was a good day and I learned a lot.
