made friends with him while in the US between Brazil and Colombia. That was in the mid-late 90's as we were up there twice in a relatively short period. I was THINKING he'd mentioned making barrels for Linebaugh, but couldn't remember. He had a poor opinion of Carmichael due to some unfortunate business deal with him. He was already shutting down most of his shop by then, but I got to see a lot of things he had around the place. We still have an old Haenel air rifle he gave me to teach my boys to shoot with. It's put untold thousands of rounds down range and taught a lot of folks some of the basics. He showed me a few 200 yard groups with cast bullets that most folks can't touch at 100 with jacketed. Always wanted to get one of his nose pour molds, but haven't managed yet. Parkinson's really did a number on him, as it did on Dalton Carr, another friend from the same time period (Dalton knew my family from way back when). I learned a lot from both of them, but never got to shoot with them as they were both too stove up by then.
