I've got one knocking around the shop somewhere...

I keep meaning to break it out and see what it'd do with modern plastic hulls. It'd be real sweet to have some paper shells to use it with, but the humidity is such around here that any such have long since become unusable. I remember the first paper shells we reloaded back in the 20th Century. They were good for a load or two, but then the humidity in the Amazon Basin would swell them to the point of having to drive them out of the chamber - IF you could get them to chamber in the first place. When we moved to full brass Berdan primed shells it was a major step forward. Then I had to learn how to hold the shot charge in without causing a blown pattern. Fun times. I really need to dig that critter out and see what it'll do on plastic.
