Setting up my first Dillon. I know...

I've owned my first one for 6 or 7 years but haven't loaded a round on it yet. My 650 is set up for 223/556 and came with a case loader but I haven't set that one up yet either. I have the dies I need and powder and even primers but I just haven't felt like loading for a long time. The last ammo I loaded was probably done on a Lee Hand Press and I'd sit and load a box or two of 44 Magnum or 500 Linebaugh and then go shoot it. I haven't even done that for a while, but when I decide I'm ready again I have all the presses I need.

them. The good thing about them is they work and they work fast. I have to load pretty much every night for ammo to shoot over the next few days in our test firing and for that they are perfect. They stand behind their product and if something breaks or even if you wear a part out they replace it no charge. They are probably way behind right now like everybody else is.

I wouldn't own a Lee press. Their dies are fine but the presses are, in my humble opinion, pot metal junk. Again just my opinion. If we sell 3 of them over at our gun shop at least 2 will have problems and we will have tp help them get the parts they need to get it back in business. On the Dillon I can sit down, turn some rock & roll music on in the background and crank out 300 rounds in no time. Every crank of the handle is a loaded round. The next press and just as good as the Dillon is the Hornady progressive Lock N Load. Steve Hornady sent me one of the first ones and it worked perfectly. The only problem is some of the functions are just the opposite of the Dillon. I had to stop and think before I did anything on it. I had a friend at the time getting into reloading and I gave it to him. But all in all it is just as good or even better than the Dillon. Whatever floats your boat.
