At the cost of about $45k. Totaled a new Nissan Murano, blew all airbags, looked like an airliner crash. It was about 6:00 and we heard what sounded like a shotgun blast. I rushed out to see what happened, I kind of knew. While Roman donned body armor and combat gear, lol. We helped the lady, calmed her, got cones to slow traffic (had some in my truck), called the right folks.

Nice 10 pt. In the rut, older guy with well worn teeth. A boy from the electric co. stopped with a Jeep and deer rack on back. Lady let him have it to shoulder mount and skin out for what meat was good. And to trick his buddies for a moment. They have a big buck pool going, $900 so far!

Is the lady ok, physically?

A buddy of mine had a doe hit the side of his patrol vehicle. Blew all airbags, totaled vehicle. Glass cut his face up pretty bad. Danged deer ran off.

Yeah just a little bag burn on the hand.

Big dent in the passenger door and a smaller one rear panel, there's hair in the crease between body and bumper, $3500 estimate. Then Wednesday an 88 year old woman turned right in front of my wife who was doing about 45. Probably both cars are totaled, old lady went to hospital, not sure of her condition. My wife's still a little sore from the seat belt. TGIF!

Boy you are charmed!

with her new Nissan Armada. All airbags went off crumpled the right front and when the bear swung around on the impact he hit all the way down the right side (spreading bear shit all over the side of the vehicle). It was almost $25,000 damages and didn't even kill the bear. Colleen called me to tell me she had hit a bear and he was still walking around her car. I was maybe 2 minutes from there so I drove there to see what I could do. The bear was a young bear maybe 150 lbs and was walking on the side of the road just in front of her truck like he was dazed. I shot the bear 3 times with a 45 ACP and got no response. These were a name brand hollow points and did nothing to him. A little old lady pulled up as I was trying to put the bear down and gave me hell about shooting that poor bear. I told her the bear had been hit with a truck and I was putting him out of his misery and for her to get her big ass back in her car.

About that time Highway Patrol rolled up. Colleen had called him when she hit the bear. He saw that my 45 wasn't doing anything to the bear so he ran back to his car and got his M-16 out and put one in the bear's head and ended the whole thing. He was a young trooper and was having fun.
We cut the spots open on the bears shoulder where I had hit him with the 45 and the hollow points had clogged up with bear fat and hair and went maybe 1 1/2" into him. All 3 shots had failed to penetrate and did no damage to the bear. That was when I gave up on any jacketed hollow point. From then on I have run 230 grain FMJs in my 45s.
